Urban Rec Spectator Policy
The Urban Rec Spectator Conduct Policy aims to eliminate inappropriate, disruptive, and abusive behaviour by spectators directed at participants, Urban Rec staff, venue staff and other spectators during Urban Rec leagues, tournaments and events.
Abusive conduct is defined as (but not limited to):
- Verbally aggressive behaviour, including the use of obscene, profane, or abusive language or gestures towards any participant, staff member, or other spectators.
- Taunting of any participant, staff member, or other spectator.
- Spectator entry in to the playing area during a conflict situation.
- Please refer to Section 3.2.2(e) of the Urban Rec Code of Conduct Addendum for further details
The responsibility for all spectators lies with the Team Captain for the team the spectator is associated with. Any spectator engaging in abusive conduct will be asked to leave the area immediately by Urban Rec staff, and the Team Captain will be responsible for ensuring their departure.
Violations to the Spectator Conduct Policy include the potential for sanctions that extend beyond the spectators to the Team Captain and/or the Team as a whole including a forfeiture of the game, a suspension for the Team Captain, Team Probation and/or outright expulsion from any Urban Rec league, tournament or event.
