Slo-Pitch
- At 4:30 PM for league nights (8 AM for tournaments), Urban Rec will make a“go”-“no go” decision on play for that evening/day.
- This decision will be recorded on our rainout hotline (604) 878-RAIN (7246).
- As a rule of thumb, we will always lean towards playing, as long as conditions will be acceptable for play.
All of our locations tend to be in areas of the city that do not get a lot of rain, so even if it is raining in your neighborhood, more often than not it isn’t at our facilities, so we encourage you to always call the rain hotline at 4:30PM on your day of play. Sometimes, in spite of our best intentions, the weather can turn for the worse between the time we make the decision to play at 4:30 pm and the start of our league play at 5:45pm. In the case of a sudden turn in the weather, Urban Rec Event Coordinators have the ability to cancel play anytime after 6PM if conditions worsen and the outlook for the rest of evening is bleak.
If Urban Rec decides that scheduled games are on, and a team chooses not to compete, they will be considered in default and will be subject to the Urban Rec default policy.
